Description
There is a stillness in the afternoon when the light shifts low.
These earrings were shaped in that hour.
The top element is a small round disc in moss green, gently pressed to show a linen like grain. Below it, a wider crescent in muted earthy plum. Both surfaces are matte and absorbing the light rather than throwing it back. The two forms sit close together without touching, which is part of what makes them work.
The inspiration was early summer fields, where the green is still fresh and the earth underneath has already turned warm. Nothing dramatic. Just two tones that belong near each other.
Each pair is rolled, textured, and cut by hand in the studio. Small differences in grain and edge are kept, not corrected.
Polymer clay. Hypoallergenic stainless steel studs. Lightweight enough to forget they are there.
The maker's hand remains in every pair.
Details & care
Polymer & ceramic, finished by hand. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from water and perfume. Each piece is slightly different — that is the point.
